een a while since I've created an IW..

fter all the tiny dolls I've made lately, I have gone completely in the other direction!
ooks pleasant enough right? A nice little moment between Edward Tulane and the Queen???....... but if you look closely you will see that she is actually in the act of pick pocketing poor Ed's watch! I don't believe he minded much as he has become quite smitten with her... Luckily, I was there to put a stop to this crime in progress!

was inspired by an early image of a young lady from the 1800's ... To me, she resembled "Mona Lisa" or what she may have looked like as a child. Her eyes are haunting and just seem to grab the viewer! How about you? Does she remind you of anyone?

ell we arrived home safe and sound from our amazing trip to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri!
While away, we left poor Alice all on her lonesome and on our return, we found her holding a glass bottle with a handwritten note saying "drink me" . Hmmmmm, since it appears to be empty I can assume she did as told and well the rest is history (so to speak).

ver a month since my last post!!!??? How did this happen? Just busy with life really. Went to Florida for part of it, which was so lovely and oh so relaxing! Now preparing to leave this Monday for Missouri to pick up my son. He just finished basic training at Fort Leonard Wood and is coming home for a couple of weeks, than off to Fort Hood!!!! I'm so excited to see him and could not be more proud.
(Here's me looking off our balcony - quite the view, yes?)
But I have not neglected my doll-making entirely. I've been wanting to create another "Alice in Wonderland" for some time now.... and with the movie just out (which i still have not seen btw), was the much needed inspiration.
When we get back on the 8th of May I hope to get her finished and listed on Ebay.
Sure hope ya'll are having a beautiful and productive spring!!!!!
