Paint? Artist's pencils? which to use? Why not both at the same time?
That is exactly what I did and like the effect it has created.

She is now getting limbs attached.
I am selecting a few antique dresses and shoes
for her to choose from as well! (

I used Winsor & Newton acrylics and primsacolors. I too am afraid of oils!!!! Keep me posted on how you like them and let me know if you have and questions on this technique I used ok?
